  1. Value-added wholesale of power components under the Top Systems brand
  2. Design, build, and installation of power systems under the SmartGrid brand
  3. Rental of battery-based energy systems under the SmartGrid brand
  4. Maintenance & Services under both brands

Power Group’s annual revenue is 30–40 mn EUR, realized by ~65 professionals across three locations. The company is backed by private equity and aims to grow strongly in the coming years, both organically and through acquisitions.

About the role

As Product / Proposition Marketeer, which is a new position, you play a key role in strengthening Power Group’s commercial foundation by developing clear, differentiated, and commercially effective customer propositions.

You will gather and connect market and competitor insights, customer needs, and technical capabilities into propositions that help the organization win in the market. In addition, you ensure that these propositions are not only defined, but also effectively applied in sales and marketing.

In this role, you contribute directly to accelerating the execution of the commercial strategy, bringing structure, focus, and momentum in how we go to market.

Commercial responsibilities

In this scale-up phase, the role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing customer propositions (STARS)
    Defining clear value propositions per segment, translating technical solutions into concrete customer value and differentiation.
  • Building market and customer insight
    Analyzing target segments, understanding customer needs and decision processes, and performing win/loss and competitive analyses.
  • Defining positioning and messaging
    Creating a clear and consistent story towards the market, shifting from product-driven to value-driven communication.
  • Enabling sales to win more deals
    Developing core sales messaging, pitch structures, and value arguments that help sales differentiate and improve conversion.
  • Driving execution of commercial strategy
    Taking ownership of key commercial improvement topics and ensuring initiatives are implemented and adopted within the organization.

Internal organization

You will work closely with sales, marketing, and other teams across the organization. A key part of the role is to ensure alignment between market insights, propositions, and commercial execution.

You actively engage with sales teams to understand what works in practice and translate this into improved propositions and approaches. At the same time, you collaborate with marketing to ensure propositions are consistently translated into campaigns and content.

In doing so, you play an important role in strengthening the overall commercial capability of Power Group.

External enviromental

You stay close to the market and actively build understanding of customer needs, industry developments, and competitive dynamics.

By combining this external perspective with internal knowledge, you help shape propositions that are relevant, distinctive, and commercially effective.

About the profile

  • 5–10 years of experience in a B2B environment, preferably in a technical, industrial, or energy-related sector
  • Experience in product marketing, proposition development, or commercial strategy
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear customer value
  • Proven ability to drive execution and deliver tangible results
  • Strong analytical and structured way of working
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, scale-up environment with evolving structures
